It started in a tiny flat in Indiranagar. We were tired of over-roasted, stale beans that all tasted the same, so we started driving out to the estates in Chikmagalur on weekends.

We met farmers who were growing incredible, shade-grown Arabica but sending it all to mass-market commodity buyers. Verde was born to roast those specific micro-lots and share them with our neighbourhood.

Today, we roast in small batches on a vintage drum roaster. No shortcuts, no masking the natural flavour. Just honest, earthy coffee.
